Good Amp for the Price,
This amp appears to be identical to the Pyramid PB-180PX based on the owners manuals. I bought this one because it was black instead of the awful pink that Pyramid uses. I’m using it with a Dual XR4110 head unit and 4 Pyle 5 inch marine box speakers. I have this system set up in my basement now, and will put it on my boat this spring. The audio quality is excellent at the volume levels I will use. For me, the input gain can be set at the minimum, and it still works very well. I’ve measured the current used at between 1 and 4 amps in my application. I would estimate this amp gives about 8 Watts per channel useful continuous audio power before it begins to distort with my speakers, which is adequate for me. My only criticism is that there are no marks on the input level controls. I used some “white out” correction fluid to correct this. It’s a very nice looking unit that appears well engineered. The quality of the connectors is top notch.

Good amp for the money. 4 channels allow me to pump music to all of my speakers without needing a head unit. It won’t rattle any windows but it is adequate for someone seeking clarity instead of decibel level.

|Great amp for your door speakers,
Please not that this is a 4 channel amp thats not bridgeable. This amp is for you door speakers and rear speakers not for subwoofers. I say this because theres a lot of new people to the audio installation hobby. Overall this amp is the way to go. You can adjust the output through the amp for the sound to come out of your speakers. It is by far one of the easier and well laid out amp out there. I do wish that the High Output wires were a little bit longer since the high output set up will give you the best performance but with it being hooked up through the RCA jacks it does just fine. You will see and hear a difference in your speakers. You will also find that they perform better and put out a louder level of sound. I’d definitely would suggest this as a starting amplifier for those new to the audio installation world. This amplifier is affordable and you get the best bang out of your buck and with free shipping you cant go wrong.
